Following the official ceremony, during a conversation held between the sides, President Joseph Aoun expressed his sincere gratitude to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev for appointing an Ambassador to Lebanon as a step towards strengthening bilateral relations. He also conveyed his warm greetings and best wishes to the Uzbek leader.

They had the opportunity to closely explore the region’s economic potential, business environment, and promising investment projects.

Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Oman, Mr. Abdusalom Khatamov, met with Mr. Tariq Al-Raisi, former Deputy Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman and Head of North Consultancy Services LLC. During the meeting, they discussed issues related to the development of bilateral trade and economic relations.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed organizing business missions of Omani entrepreneurs to Fergana, establishing interregional cooperation between Oman and Uzbekistan, hosting the “Fergana Days” event in Muscat, as well as addressing a number of trade, economic, and investment issues.

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Oman, Mr. Abdusalom Khatamov, held a meeting with Mr. Abdullah Al-Saidi, Chief Executive Officer of Oman's AB Energy company.

The Uzbek side presented a portfolio of ready-to-launch project initiatives across multiple sectors, including petrochemicals, energy, mining, engineering, agriculture, textiles, food processing, logistics, and tourism. Practical aspects of Uzbekistan’s investment climate were outlined in detail, highlighting guarantees for investor protection, tax and customs incentives, preferential treatment in industrial zones, and a special regime for strategic projects.

According to Oman’s National News Agency (ONA), during the visit, on August 19 in Muscat, Minister Laziz Kudratov held a meeting with Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, Qais bin Mohammed Al-Yousef. The two sides discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation between the friendly nations, including issues related to investment, imports and exports, and promising directions in the fields of industry and commerce.
