Today, environmental protection and climate change have become one of the most promising and dynamic areas of strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. Both countries have identified the transition to a green economy, climate change mitigation, biodiversity conservation, and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals as key priorities of their national development agendas. Consequently, environmental cooperation between the two countries has expanded steadily in recent years, not only at the bilateral level but also within regional and international frameworks.

In recent years, relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic have become one of the key pillars of regional cooperation in Central Asia. These relations are founded on a shared border, historical proximity, regular political dialogue between the heads of state, and growing interdependence in trade, transport and logistics, energy, industry, agriculture, and the development of border regions. Consequently, the bilateral agenda is steadily evolving beyond the framework of traditional good-neighbourly relations toward a comprehensive and long-term economic partnership.

The forthcoming state visit of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kyrgyzstan on 30–31 July will mark a new milestone in the development of Uzbek–Kyrgyz relations, which have undergone a profound transformation in recent years—from overcoming accumulated disagreements to building a comprehensive model of strategic cooperation.

On July 24th an International Scientific and Practical Conference entitled “Brother Cities: A New Model of Sustainable Development and Public Diplomacy” was held in Samarkand.

In recent years, cooperation between Central Asia and Azerbaijan in the energy sector has entered an entirely new phase. This progress is primarily the result of the wise policies pursued by the countries’ leaders, based on mutual trust, friendship, and good-neighborly relations. Thanks to this strong political will, major energy initiatives that were once viewed only as future prospects have now moved into the implementation stage, becoming important projects serving Central Asia’s sustainable development and contributing to the global green transformation.

In recent years, under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, good neighborliness, mutual respect, and practical cooperation have become the guiding principles of Uzbekistan's foreign policy.

Amid the transformation of global supply chains and rapid geopolitical shifts in the world economy, the formation of sustainable and secure transport corridors connecting Asia and Europe has become particularly crucial. In this context, cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan in the transport and logistics sector is becoming a key factor in ensuring regional trade stability, diversifying transport routes, and deepening economic integration across the Eurasian space.
