Foreign Minister met with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan
On January 27, 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
As noted, further deepening the strategic partnership between our two brotherly nations is the top priority on our agenda. Leaders of countries have laid a strong and enduring foundation for sustaining the positive trajectory of our bilateral relations.
Today’s discussions covered all areas of cooperation both bilateral and multilateral, leaving no aspect untouched. The schedule for 2025 promises to be dynamic, with a series of intensive exchanges planned at all levels and spheres.
FM Saidov congratulated with the beginning of the International Year of Peace and Trust, initiated by Turkmenistan.
At the end, two important documents were signed between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan:
- Joint Cooperation Program for 2025-2026;
- Protocol on the Inventory and Enhancement of the Legal and Treaty Framework.
Moreover, ministers also exchanged the respective notes verbales on supporting each other’s candidacies in international organizations.
