On 30 November of this year, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate of Oman, Abdusalom Khatamov, held a cordial and mutually beneficial meeting with His Excellency Minister of Labour of the Sultanate of Oman, Prof. Mahad Baawin.

During the conversation, the parties discussed in detail issues related to cooperation in the field of personnel training, the exchange of experience, as well as organizing reciprocal visits of officials responsible for this sector.

Salim Al-Khusaibi, a former correspondent of the prestigious Omani publication “Oman” newspaper, has composed a qasida in honor of Uzbekistan.

On 18 November of this year, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, Abdusalom Khatamov, held a meeting with Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Dhawyani, Head of the National Records and Archives Authority of the Sultanate of Oman.

During the meeting, the parties discussed enhancing cooperation between the relevant institutions of the two countries in jointly studying the manuscripts preserved in Uzbekistan and Oman.

On 18 November of this year, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, Abdusalom Khatamov, held a meeting with Sheikh Khalid Al-Ma‘awali, Chairman of the Shura Council (Parliament) of the Sultanate of Oman.

During the conversation, the parties discussed strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation and further developing the friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Oman.

On 16 November of this year, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, Abdusalom Khatamov, held a meeting with Mr. Ya’qub Al-Harisi, Head of the Uzbekistan–Oman Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Group, to discuss prospects for strengthening bilateral relations.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation, implementing joint projects, and enhancing the effectiveness of dialogue between the two countries.

On 12 November 2025, the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate of Oman, Mr. Abdusalom Khatamov, met with the highly respected Omani scholar, educator, and spiritual figure, Sheikh Hamoud al-Sawafi. The Ambassador emphasized that the meeting was a great honor and privilege for him.

During the conversation, it was noted once again that Islam serves as a timeless and borderless bond that unites people. It was highlighted that Islam was introduced to the territory of modern-day Uzbekistan by the Arabs, and since then, our land has produced great Muslim scholars who have enlightened millions and continue to inspire generations around the world.
