On October 12 of this year, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Oman, H.E. Mr. Abdusalom Khatamov, held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Qais Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion of the Sultanate of Oman.
During the meeting, the prospects for establishing and developing mutually beneficial cooperation between “Salam Air” and our Republic were discussed. In particular, special attention was given to launching direct flights, expanding the geography of flights, and developing tourism and business ties.
During the meeting, the two sides engaged in a substantive discussion on the current state of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Oman. They also exchanged views on the prospects for deepening cooperation across various fields.
During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to elevate cooperation between Uzbek and Omani businesswomen to a new level, exchange experiences and knowledge, and support joint initiatives.
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Oman, Abdusalom Khatamov, held discussions with K.A. Shabeer, the regional head of "Lulu International Group," which owns more than 30 supermarkets in the Sultanate of Oman, and Subair Mohammed Ali, the Executive Director of "Berry Mount Vegetables and Fruit Trading LLC," one of the major trading companies in the Middle East. The talks focused on accelerating the export of agricultural products grown in Uzbekistan to the Sultanate.
It should be noted that Professor Muhammad Al-Hajri directly participated in the international scientific-practical conference titled "Islam — a Religion of Peace and Benevolence," held in Tashkent and Khiva in October 2024.
The conference will be dedicated to the legacy of the founder of the Turkestan Jadid movement, the renowned writer and public figure Mahmudhoja Behbudi, and the former Sultan of Oman, Sultan Qaboos.
