The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate of Oman, Abdusalom Khatamov, held a meeting with Sheikh Salim Ali Al-Siyabi, Chairman of the Board of Al Siyabi International Group, one of Oman’s prominent business leaders.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation. Sheikh Salim Ali Al-Siyabi, who is активно involved in real estate development and investment projects across the Sultanate, expressed interest in exploring new opportunities for partnership with Uzbekistan.

Starting from June 2026, Oman Air — the national carrier of the Oman — will launch regular direct flights on the Muscat–Tashkent–Muscat route.

The introduction of direct air service between Muscat and Tashkent is expected to create new opportunities for expanding cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, and cultural exchange. The new route will contribute to strengthening business ties, increasing tourist flows, and further enhancing people-to-people connections between the two countries.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate of Oman, Abdusalom Khatamov, held a meeting with Mr. Murtado Ahmad Sultan, Director of WJ Towell LLC.

During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation in the field of textile exports and exchanged views on expanding trade relations in this sector.

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Oman, Abdusalom Khatamov, held a meeting with Ms. Sixam Al-Kharsiy, Chairperson of the Tourism Committee of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Head of AFOUQ Investment & Development United.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism.

On 18 February this year, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate of Oman, H.E. Abdusalom Khatamov, held a meeting with H.E. Mohammed Al-Sarimi, Head of Protocol of the Diwan of the Royal Court.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues related to the further development of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Oman.

On 17 February this year, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Sultanate of Oman organized an online meeting between Mr. Khurshid Samiyev, Deputy Governor of Samarkand Region, and H.E. Nasser Ahamed, former Minister of Environment of Sri Lanka, who has the capacity to attract high-potential investors from various countries.

The purpose of the meeting was to further expand the investment potential of Samarkand Region and to identify new avenues of cooperation.

On 16 February this year, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate of Oman, H.E. Abdusalom Khatamov, held a meeting with H.E. Jamal Al Musawi, Secretary-General of the National Museum of Oman.

During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail prospects for further strengthening bilateral cooperation in the current year, including the organization of joint cultural events, exhibitions, and educational initiatives aimed at deepening cultural ties between Uzbekistan and Oman.

On 15 February this year, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate of Oman, Abdusalom Xatamov, visited the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman.

During the visit, Ambassador Xatamov подчеркed that relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Uzbekistan are currently experiencing a truly historic phase of development.

In the Omani capital, a International Culture Day was held in collaboration with “Ghars International Private School”, aimed at promoting Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage and tourism potential.

The event brought together representatives of the Ministry of Education of Oman, students of the school and their parents. Guests were introduced to national costumes, traditional handicrafts and local cuisine, providing a vivid insight into Uzbekistan’s cultural diversity.

Representatives of “Comfort Textile” LLC from Bukhara, Uzbekistan visited Oman to establish business connections and explore prospects for further cooperation.

As part of their visit, the Uzbek business delegation toured the “Khazaen” Special Economic City in Muscat. During the presentation, it was highlighted that Khazaen functions as an integrated logistics and industrial hub, encompassing a special free economic zone, a dry port, warehouses, residential complexes and commercial facilities.
