A delegation from Uzbekistan, headed by Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov, paid a working visit to Oman on August 19–20, 2025.

According to Oman’s National News Agency (ONA), during the visit, on August 19 in Muscat, Minister Laziz Kudratov held a meeting with Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, Qais bin Mohammed Al-Yousef. The two sides discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation between the friendly nations, including issues related to investment, imports and exports, and promising directions in the fields of industry and commerce.

Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Oman Abdusalom Khatamov had a fruitful conversation with Ms. Siham Al-Kharsi, Executive Director of Siham Development & Investment and Chairperson of the Tourism Committee under the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During the conversation, issues of organizing a business visit of Omani businesswomen to Uzbekistan in August this year were discussed. Within the framework of the visit, mutually beneficial areas of cooperation was agreed for consideration and opportunities to discuss new projects in the fields of trade, investment and tourism.

Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Oman Abdusalom Khatamov discussed the promotion of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential in Oman and the organization of a visit to our country with the famous Omani traveler Nasser Al-Numani, who has visited over 80 countries.

As part of the official visit of the delegation led by the Chairman of the Uzbekistan Tourism Committee to Muscat from July 5 to 7 of this year, a "Road Show" tourism forum was held under the slogan "Uzbekistan – The Pearl of the Silk Road".
On behalf of the Embassy, gratitude to Mr. N.al-Numani was expressed for his valuable contribution to the successful organization of this event.

Over the past 8 years, New Uzbekistan has absorbed over 113 billion dollars of foreign investments

On the eve of the 34th anniversary of our country's independence, the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund has finalised the 2025 consultations in accordance with Article IV of the IMF Agreement. The main conclusion on the essence of the ongoing reforms is positive prospects for Uzbekistan's economic development against the backdrop of continued progress in the transition to a market economy. According to the published document, economic indicators remain strong, including sustainable growth rates, reduction of the consolidated budget deficit, current account deficit and sufficient level of international reserves.
