Uzbekistan is undergoing a large-scale transformation of its social protection system, aimed at improving the well-being of its citizens and enhancing the effectiveness of social services. A key driver of this process is the national development strategy “Uzbekistan – 2030”, which focuses on the comprehensive and high-quality modernization of the country’s social policy.

New Uzbekistan: a large country with great opportunities

In June 2025, Tashkent hosted its Fourth International Investment Forum–a landmark event that has become the hallmark of the new Uzbekistan. 

From July 2 to 4, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid a state visit to Azerbaijan, during which the second meeting of the High-Level Intergovernmental Council was held. On July 4, the Uzbek leader also took part in the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), where he outlined priorities for the organization’s development amid growing geopolitical instability.

TMK has carried out its first export of metallic rhenium based on a contract signed with the Estonian company “VLCor Baltic OU”.

Located in the very heart of Central Asia, Uzbekistan is becoming an increasingly appealing destination for international investors. Over the past seven years, the country has attracted 120 billion US dollars in investments and established over 6,000 enterprises. In particular, in 2024 alone, the volume of investments reached 35 billion dollars, while exports totaled 27 billion dollars.
