Today, it is no secret that globalization is intensifying worldwide, while complex and increasingly dangerous processes are on the rise.

In such a challenging environment, sport plays an unparalleled role in strengthening dialogue, mutual understanding, and cooperation among states and peoples.

The upcoming official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Türkiye reflects the deepening strategic partnership between the two countries. One of the most dynamic areas of this cooperation is labor migration, built on mutual trust and a shared human-centered vision.

Uzbekistan and Turkey are consistently developing bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the fields of ecology and environmental protection, paying special attention to the exchange of experience, the introduction of modern technologies, and the professional development of specialists.

Today, one of the priority areas of state policy in Uzbekistan is focused on expanding forested areas, increasing green coverage, mitigating the negative impacts of climate change, and ensuring environmental sustainability. In order to achieve effective results in these areas, studying advanced foreign experience and adapting it to the country’s climatic conditions is of particular importance. In this context, the participation of a delegation of representatives of the Forestry Agency under the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change of Uzbekistan in a training and practical seminar organized during their visit to the Republic of Turkey in October 2025 was of significant importance.

On the sidelines of events in Davos, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with president of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Odile Renaud-Basso.

As part of his working visit to Davos, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Adebayo Ogunlesi, member of the Board of Directors and Senior Managing Director of Blackrock.

On the sidelines of the signing ceremony of the Board of Peace Charter a trilateral meeting between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán took place.

On January 22, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the signing ceremony of the Board of Peace charter in the Swiss city of Davos.

Uzbekistan has consistently supported democratic pathways of development, positioning itself in Central Asia as a country with steadily developing economic performance and a rapidly improving standard of living of its population.

On December 26, 2025, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev delivered his annual Address to the Oliy Majlis and the people of Uzbekistan, in which he summarized the results of the year and outlined the priority directions of the republic's development in the medium term perspective.
