Upon the arrival of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on a state visit at the invitation of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a meeting between the two heads of state took place at Tashkent-Humo International Airport.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a business delegation from the U.S. state of Utah comprised of David Bednar, Elder of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and Miles Hansen, chairman of the international charitable "Sterling" Foundation. Ambassador of the United States to Uzbekistan Jonathan Henick also attended the meeting.

On November 12, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan received chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States Binali Yıldırım, who’s arrived in our country to participate in the International Forum on Multimodal Transport.

On November 12, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the newly elected Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Khaled El-Enany.

On 12 November 2025, the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate of Oman, Mr. Abdusalom Khatamov, held a meeting with Mr. Abdullatif Khunhi, Head of the Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals, Member of the Board of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Investments.
During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas of bilateral cooperation.

The discussion focused on preparing and signing a Memorandum of Cooperation between the tourism administrations of the two countries and identifying key areas for future partnership.

Cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan in tourism is an important direction of bilateral relations and holds a special place within the broader framework of cultural and humanitarian ties between the two neighboring countries. Geographic proximity, a shared historical and cultural foundation, and the rich heritage of the Great Silk Road create favorable conditions for developing tourism interaction and strengthening friendly relations between the peoples.

Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in the field of ecology and environmental protection continues to demonstrate dynamic development and the strengthening of strategic interaction built on trust, mutual understanding and a shared commitment to ensuring environmental security in Central Asia.

Tourism is one of the key areas of regional cooperation in Central Asia, contributing to the strengthening of economic and cultural ties among neighboring countries. The Republic of Uzbekistan, with its rich historical and cultural heritage, ancient monuments of the Great Silk Road, and modern infrastructure, plays a central role in the development of this sector. In recent years, tourist contacts with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan have been actively expanding, laying the groundwork for the formation of a unified regional tourism space.

The foreign policy of modern Uzbekistan is focused on taking concrete measures to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation and long-term multilateral partnerships with all countries worldwide.
