On May 9 at the invitation of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the solemn events on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in World War II.

During the elections for members of the UN Statistical Commission for the 2026-2029 term, held in New York, Uzbekistan was elected to this body for the first time in its history.

The UN General Assembly in New York adopted the resolution initiated by Uzbekistan titled “Decade of Action on Afforestation and Reforestation in Accordance with Sustainable Forest Management”.

In recent years, relations between Central Asia (CA) and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) have shown a steady and positive dynamic. ISRS hosted a meeting with delegations from Bahrain and Oman
