The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Oman, Abdusalom Khatamov, held a meeting with Khalid Al-Kayed, CEO of Nizwa Bank – a leading Islamic finance institution in the Sultanate of Oman. During the meeting, the parties discussed establishing cooperation with Uzbek banks and exchanging expertise in the field of Islamic finance.
- Nizwa Bank was established in 2013, with assets totaling $4.16 billion,
- Net profit in 2023 amounted to $44.2 million (+13%),
- Financing portfolio – $3.5 billion, deposits – $3.2 billion.
The bank is actively involved in financing major projects in Oman.
