
On April 20, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, who is heading the Russian delegation at the INNOPROM. Central Asia International Industrial Exhibition, currently underway in Tashkent.
The meeting was also attended by the heads of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, and the Leningrad, Kirov, Irkutsk, and Omsk regions, as well as representatives of leading Russian companies.
At the beginning of the meeting, the high-ranking guest conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The President of Uzbekistan commended the successful organization of the sixth INNOPROM exhibition, which brought together over 10,000 business representatives from 35 countries.
The discussions focused on the practical implementation of agreements reached at the highest level, primarily in the trade and economic sphere.
The steady growth in trade and the effective implementation of joint projects in industry, peaceful nuclear energy, energy, transport, metallurgy, and the chemical sector were noted with satisfaction.
The importance of taking coordinated measures to maintain the momentum of trade turnover, accelerate cooperation projects in priority sectors, including within industrial zones, and continue active contacts at the regional and business levels was emphasized.
Plans in promising areas such as agricultural machinery, energy efficiency, water management, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence were supported.
Special attention was paid to the training of engineering personnel for key sectors of the economy through joint technical universities.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the heads of Russian regions and companies also presented concrete plans for implementing new projects across various industries.
