To discuss ways to increase the flow of tourists from Oman to Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Oman Abdusalom Khatamov met with Ejaz Kazi, head of one of the largest tourism companies in the Sultanate, E-Travel & Tourism, on August 4. During the conversation, the possibility of sending a delegation of representatives of the Sultanate's largest tourism companies and bloggers on an infotour to Uzbekistan was discussed.

According to data from the National Statistics Committee, gross domestic product (GDP) amounted to 807.9 trillion sums in January–June 2025, marking a 7.2% increase compared to the same period of the previous year.

On August 5, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will take part in the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), which will be held in the Avaza tourist zone in Turkmenistan.

Central Asia is geographically not adjacent to maritime borders, and it is well known that Uzbekistan, located in its very center, is one of only two countries in the world that must pass through the territory of two other countries to access the sea.
