Ambassador of Uzbekistan Meets with Omani Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion

On October 12 of this year, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Oman, H.E. Mr. Abdusalom Khatamov, held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Qais Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion of the Sultanate of Oman.

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Oman, Mr. Abdusalom Khatamov, held a meeting with Mr. Mohammed Al-Khonji, Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Salam Air”, and Mr. Adrian Hamilton-Manns, the CEO of the company.

During the meeting, the prospects for establishing and developing mutually beneficial cooperation between “Salam Air” and our Republic were discussed. In particular, special attention was given to launching direct flights, expanding the geography of flights, and developing tourism and business ties.

It should be noted that Professor Muhammad Al-Hajri directly participated in the international scientific-practical conference titled "Islam — a Religion of Peace and Benevolence," held in Tashkent and Khiva in October 2024.

The newly appointed Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Lebanon, Abdusalom Khatamov (with residence in Muscat), presented his credentials to President of Lebanon Joseph Aoun.

Following the official ceremony, during a conversation held between the sides, President Joseph Aoun expressed his sincere gratitude to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev for appointing an Ambassador to Lebanon as a step towards strengthening bilateral relations. He also conveyed his warm greetings and best wishes to the Uzbek leader.
