On December 11 of this year, a meeting was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Oman with students from Uzbekistan, Türkiye, and Kazakhstan who are currently studying Arabic at the Sultan Qaboos Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers.

These dedicated students, representing the Turkic world, are making every effort to strengthen their academic knowledge, enhance their professional skills, and broaden their cultural horizons. The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, during which sincere appreciation was expressed to the students who are proudly and достойно representing their home countries in the Arab region.

On December 10 of this year, a meeting was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Sultanate of Oman with the ambassadors of the Turkic-speaking countries accredited in Oman – Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, and Hungary. The meeting was organized to celebrate the recognition of December 15 as World Turkic Languages Day at the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference held in Samarkand in November of this year.

During the meeting, the Embassy discussed holding a joint cultural and humanitarian event in the Sultanate of Oman to mark this important date. The purpose of the event is to introduce Omani society to the rich cultural heritage of the Turkic world and to strengthen intercultural exchange between the Turkic-speaking countries and the Sultanate of Oman.

On 30 November of this year, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate of Oman, Abdusalom Khatamov, held a cordial and mutually beneficial meeting with His Excellency Minister of Labour of the Sultanate of Oman, Prof. Mahad Baawin.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation, implementing joint projects, and enhancing the effectiveness of dialogue between the two countries.

During the conversation, it was noted once again that Islam serves as a timeless and borderless bond that unites people. It was highlighted that Islam was introduced to the territory of modern-day Uzbekistan by the Arabs, and since then, our land has produced great Muslim scholars who have enlightened millions and continue to inspire generations around the world.
