On October 12 of this year, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Oman, H.E. Mr. Abdusalom Khatamov, held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Qais Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion of the Sultanate of Oman.

During the meeting, the prospects for establishing and developing mutually beneficial cooperation between “Salam Air” and our Republic were discussed. In particular, special attention was given to launching direct flights, expanding the geography of flights, and developing tourism and business ties.

During the meeting, the parties discussed establishing cooperation with Uzbek banks and exchanging expertise in the field of Islamic finance.

During the meeting, the two sides engaged in a substantive discussion on the current state of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Oman. They also exchanged views on the prospects for deepening cooperation across various fields.

During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to elevate cooperation between Uzbek and Omani businesswomen to a new level, exchange experiences and knowledge, and support joint initiatives.

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Oman, Abdusalom Khatamov, held discussions with K.A. Shabeer, the regional head of "Lulu International Group," which owns more than 30 supermarkets in the Sultanate of Oman, and Subair Mohammed Ali, the Executive Director of "Berry Mount Vegetables and Fruit Trading LLC," one of the major trading companies in the Middle East. The talks focused on accelerating the export of agricultural products grown in Uzbekistan to the Sultanate.

It should be noted that Professor Muhammad Al-Hajri directly participated in the international scientific-practical conference titled "Islam — a Religion of Peace and Benevolence," held in Tashkent and Khiva in October 2024.

The conference will be dedicated to the legacy of the founder of the Turkestan Jadid movement, the renowned writer and public figure Mahmudhoja Behbudi, and the former Sultan of Oman, Sultan Qaboos.

The meeting focused on organizational aspects of the upcoming academic seminar scheduled to be held this month at the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate of Oman, Abdusalom Khatamov, held a meeting with Ambassador Najib Al-Balushi, Chief of the Protocol Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman.

During his visit to Beirut, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate of Oman and concurrently Non-Resident Ambassador to Lebanon, Mr. Abdusalom Khatamov, held a meeting with H.E. Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Parliament of the Lebanese Republic and one of the country's prominent political figures.

Following the official ceremony, during a conversation held between the sides, President Joseph Aoun expressed his sincere gratitude to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev for appointing an Ambassador to Lebanon as a step towards strengthening bilateral relations. He also conveyed his warm greetings and best wishes to the Uzbek leader.

Experts often use the Latin phrase “si vis pacem, para bellum”, which translates as “if you want peace, prepare for war”. They emphasis that only force can guarantee peace.

The first session of the Fergana Peace Forum, titled “Fergana Valley: Uniting Efforts for Peace and Progress” is scheduled for October 15–16, 2025, in the city of Fergana.

Next week, the city of Fergana will transform into a focal point for international dialogue and cooperation, hosting key stakeholders from across the region and beyond. This gathering underscores the city’s growing importance as a center for promoting peace, mutual understanding, and collaborative development in Central Asia.

On October 10, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in a regular meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States, held in Dushanbe.

A meeting was held between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, in the city of Dushanbe. 

On October 9, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived on a working visit to the Republic of Tajikistan.

During the meeting, the sides discussed ways to further strengthen friendly Uzbekistan–Palestine relations and expand mutually beneficial cooperation. Minister expressed sincere appreciation for Ambassador Awad’s efforts to enhance bilateral ties and deepen friendship between the peoples of the two nations.

Both sides underscored the strengthening of Uzbekistan–Japan Strategic Partnership ties and expansion of practical cooperation in trade, investment, education, cultural exchange, and other areas.

The evolution of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) has attracted particular attention from the international expert community, especially in the context of sustainable development, where Uzbekistan’s accession in 2019 became a catalyst for creating new opportunities for joint progress among Turkic countries.

Uzbekistan is increasingly emerging as an important destination on the global tourism map. The combination of rich cultural heritage and unique natural landscapes reveals the country to travelers as a true treasure trove of the Great Silk Road. In this context, cooperation with UNESCO takes on special significance: the recognition of monuments and sites as World Heritage objects enables their promotion on a global scale, sparking tourist interest and strengthening Uzbekistan's position in the global tourism industry.

Due to its geographical position, historical ties, and natural resources, the Organization of Turkic States is becoming an increasingly significant platform for cooperation at this new stage of development. At the same time, OTS serves as a cultural bridge, fostering closer ties between the peoples of its member countries.
