During the meeting, the Embassy discussed holding a joint cultural and humanitarian event in the Sultanate of Oman to mark this important date. On December 11, upon arrival in Ashgabat, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

At the Kuksaroy residence, negotiations were held between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Paraguay Santiago Peña, with the participation of official delegations.

In recent years, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan have been shaping a new model of economic interaction in which the driving force is no longer political declarations but the tangible expansion of trade, industrial cooperation, and investment ties. In December 2025, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to Japan and take part in the high-level Central Asia + Japan Dialogue summit.

Transport cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan is now taking on strategic importance, shaping a new architecture of connectivity in Central Asia and creating additional opportunities for the region to enter the wider Eurasian space.
