On September 29 of this year, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate of Oman, Mr. Abdusalom Khattamov, held a meeting with His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa Al-Harithi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman for Political Affairs.

During the meeting, the two sides engaged in a substantive discussion on the current state of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Oman. They also exchanged views on the prospects for deepening cooperation across various fields.

In light of Sheikh Khalifa's previous role as head of Oman's diplomatic mission in India and his known interest in the history of regional rulers, Ambassador Khattamov presented him with a thoughtful gift — a book about the founder of the Mughal Empire, Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, highlighting his reign and legacy. The book, translated into Arabic for the first time by Egyptian Turkologist Professor Majida Makhlouf, was published with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Egypt.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their anticipation for continued dialogue and the strengthening of mutually respectful cooperation.
