
On November 3, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon A’loyev met with the Minister of Education of the Sultanate of Oman Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibani.
The Minister noted that the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference held in the city of Samarkand was organized at a high level and emphasized that the decisions adopted within this prestigious forum would serve to further strengthen international relations.
During the talks, the possibilities of establishing direct relations between the educational institutions of the two countries, developing modern educational programs, and exchanging experience in the fields of vocational education and innovation were discussed.
Minister also stressed that the historical, cultural, and spiritual closeness between Uzbekistan and Oman serves as a solid foundation for bringing friendly relations and mutual cooperation between the two peoples to a new stage.
At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached to implement joint projects between the relevant ministries and educational institutions of the two countries in order to qualitatively enrich cooperation, including launching short-term training and academic exchange programs for students.
