Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate of Oman Abdusalom Xatamov visited the embassy of the Republic of Yemen in Muscat on the occasion of the death of the former president of this country, Field Marshal Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi. A. Xatamov expressed deep condolences on behalf of the Embassy of Uzbekistan to the people of Yemen and to the Ambassador of Yemen, Dr. Khaled Shatef.

Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi, who led Yemen from 2012 to 2022, was born on September 1, 1945, in the Abyan province of Yemen. He served in the country's military and political systems for many years. From 1994 to 2012, he served as Vice President of Yemen. Elected president in 2012, Hadi led the state through a complex political and security situation. Even after transferring his presidential powers to the Presidential Leadership Council in 2022, he continued to be recognized as an important figure in Yemen's political life.
