On 5 July 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate of Oman, Abdusalom Khatamov, received Mr. Khalid Alayoubi, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Syrian Arab Republic to the Sultanate of Oman, at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

On 5 July 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate of Oman, Abdusalom Khatamov, received Mr. Khalid Alayoubi, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Syrian Arab Republic to the Sultanate of Oman, at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to further strengthening bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Syria, as well as the prospects for developing mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.

Particular attention was also paid to expanding cooperation between the diplomatic missions of the two countries in the Sultanate of Oman, enhancing contacts, and coordinating joint activities aimed at further developing the friendly relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Syrian Arab Republic.

The meeting was held in a warm and constructive atmosphere. The parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further developing mutually beneficial cooperation.
